Program

Day 1: Arrival Brussels (-/-/D)

Arrival at Brussels airport. Welcome by your tour escort. Orientation tour on the way to your hotel. Your first evening also includes a Welcome Dinner with wine at a local restaurant in the heart of the Old Town. Overnight in Brussels.

Day 2: Brussels (B/-/D)

After breakfast guided city tour of the Belgian capital. Afterwards stroll leisurely around the Grand Place, voted the most beautiful square in Europe. Free time for lunch and in the afternoon visit of a local brewery including beer tasting. Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Brussels.

Day 3: Ghent and Bruges (B/-/D)

Morning journey along the pasture lands of Belgian Flanders to reach Ghent, the City of Flowers, offering a fascinating cultural cocktail brimming with rich history, culture and a trendy city vibe. With our local guide, take a stroll through the historical streets and be fascinated by the outstanding beauty of its quays, churches and squares. Visit St. Bavo‘s Cathedral, the oldest parish church in the lively heart of Ghent, and see the Castle of the Counts. Drive further to Bruges for a stroll with your local guide along cobbled streets, lined with high-gabled houses from the 16th century. Visit the Market Square dominated by the 83-meter medieval bell tower, The Belfry of Bruges. Explore Burg Square with its ornate Gothic town hall and glorious frescoes on the walls of the Holy Blood Chapel. Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Brussels.

Day 4: Brussels – Antwerp – Rotterdam – Amsterdam (B/-/D)

Morning journey to Antwerp, the second largest city and biggest port of Belgium. Discover the city with your local guide and visit the Gothic cathedral of our Lady to see artworks by Peter Paul Rubens. You can also enjoy a traditional beer or waffle in the beautiful square right by the cathedral. Afterwards your journey continues to Rotterdam, the world‘s largest port rebuilt after wartime devastation. During your city tour with your local guide see the impressive market hall and its modern design and the Erasmus Bridge. Continue to Amsterdam. Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Amsterdam.

Day 5: Delft and The Hague (B/-/D)

Visit of Royal Delft porcelain Museum before moving on to the Hague, the elegant governmental centre of the Netherlands. See the Binnenhof courtyards where the Parliament is situated and the impressive Peace Palace tracing the history of peace in Europe. Late afternoon you pass through picturesque villages and windmills of the Dutch countryside to Amsterdam. Dinner at the hotel and overnight in Amsterdam.

Day 6: Amsterdam Sightseeing (B/-/D)

After breakfast meet your local guide and explore Amsterdam, this city built on water is known for its fascinating history, iconic architecture and sights that date back to its Golden Age beginnings. The best way to see this remarkable city is from the water as you cruise through the canal district, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Admire the elegant merchant houses from the 16th and 17th centuries. Relax as you pass stunning gables, beautiful churches and the iconic Magere Brug, better known as the Skinny Bridge, the most famous bridge of
Amsterdam. Disembark your cruise to explore the city and see the floating flower market, Dam Square and the Royal Palace, the fifteenth-century “New Church” and De Bijenkorf for shopping. Enjoy a farewell dinner with wine at a local restaurant. Overnight in Amsterdam.

Day 7: Departure (B/-/-)

After breakfast transfer to the airport for your return flight home.
