The Christmas market on Potsdamer Platz is also well worth a visit with many handicrafts and local delicacies on offer, as well as a large open-air ice rink! A visit to the market at the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is a must with approximately 170 stalls to explore. A cup of traditional mulled wine will help keep you warm whilst you shop for those all-important gifts. Berlin’s largest Christmas market, with approximately 250 stands, takes place in the Spandau Old Town. For a more nostalgic Christmas market head between the Staatsoper and Opernpalais where you will find craftspeople, confectioners, almond and chestnut roasters and candle and lantern makers all offering their products.
