Program

Day 1: Berlin (-/-/D)

Upon arrival at Berlin airport meet your tour escort and transfer to your hotel. Remainder of the day is free. Dinner and overnight in Berlin.

Day 2: Berlin (B/-/D)

Enjoy a tour of the city’s west side including Charlottenburg Palace, Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church, the famous Ku’Damm, the Tiergarten, the Victory Column, the Reichstag building, Brandenburg Gate, the site of Hitler’s bunker and the holocaust memorial. Have lunch on your own, and continue with a tour of the east side including Potsdam Square, Museum Island and the Berlin Wall. Visit Check Point Charlie Museum. Dinner and overnight in Berlin.

Day 3: Berlin (B/-/-)

After breakfast, travel to Potsdam for a visit of Sanssouci Palace. Return to Berlin. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight in Berlin.

Day 4: Berlin – Dresden (B/-/D)

After breakfast, we are off to Dresden, capital of the Free State of Saxony whose blend of tradition and modernity is fascinating! Discover the hometown of Saxon prince-electors and kings during a walking tour of the magnificent city centre. See the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) and Zwinger Palace. Visit Semper Opera House. Lunch at leisure, followed by a tour of the old town and its monuments. Dinner and overnight in Dresden.

Day 5: Dresden – Wroclaw (B/-/D)

Depart for Wroclaw. Lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, discover Silesia’s ancient capital. Known as the Venice of Poland, Wroclaw is located at the confluence of four rivers, which form 12 islands linked by 120 bridges. Despite major destruction during the Second World War, it still possesses numerous Gothic monuments. Dinner and overnight in Wroclaw.

Day 6: Wroclaw – Auschwitz – Krakow (B/-/D)

After breakfast, heading to an emotional experience during a guided tour of the Auschwitz Birkenau concentration camp. Lunch at leisure before continuing to Krakow for your 2-night stay. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 7: Krakow – Wieliczka – Krakow (B/-/D)

In the morning, visit Krakow’s city centre including Wawel Hill, the cathedral and Cloth Hall. Lunch at leisure. Continue to the Wieliczka Salt Mine, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Return to Krakow in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 8: Krakow – Kromeriz – Brno (B/-/D)

After breakfast, depart for Kromeriz. Stroll among the flower gardens before crossing the city centre to the archbishop’s palace and its gardens, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1988. Visit the halls and tower, as well as the cellars for a tasting of four wines produced locally and served during religious services. Have lunch on your own before heading to Brno. Discover the Gothic-style Spilberk Castle and its two chapels, also see the Town Hall, the cathedral and Zelny Trh Square, the city’s urban core since the middle ages. Dinner and overnight in Brno.

Day 9: Brno – Telc – Prague (B/-/D)

In the morning, depart for Telc, designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1992. See its wonderfully preserved Gothic, Baroque and Art Nouveau houses. Visit the stunning castle and its beautiful English-style garden. Lunch at leisure; Afterwards, scenic drive to Prague. Dinner and overnight in Prague.

Day 10: Prague (B/-/D)

After breakfast, enjoy a guided visit of Stare Mesto, Prague’s Old Town. Explore Republic Square, the Municipal House and the Powder Tower. See City Hall and its famous astronomical clock. Lunch at leisure. Continue to Mala Strana, a baroque neighbourhood at the foot of the castle. Cross the Charles Bridge to Kampa Island. Visit the Church of Our Lady Victorious and its famed Infant Jesus of Prague statue, and see the monumental baroque Church of St. Nicholas from the outside. Dinner and overnight in Prague.

Day 11: Prague (B/-/-)

Tour the Hradcany and Prague Castle areas. Walk to the magnificent Loreta Square. Continue towards the Hradcany district. Discover the three courtyards of the Prague Castle’s and the main nave of St. Vitus Cathedral. Then, admire the Old Royal Palace and St. George’s Basilica. Lunch, afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Prague.

Day 12: Prague (B/-/-)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your return flight.
