Program
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your guide. Transfer to your hotel in the Dubrovnik area. Dinner and overnight.
Guided tour of ancient Ragusa, the undisputed pearl of Croatia, whose city centre is listed as a Unesco World heritage site. The impressive ramparts enclose the medieval city and the «Stradun», around which the beautiful architectural ensemble of different styles is organized. Lunch. Free time. Dinner and overnight.
Depart for the Bay of Kotor, the largest fjord of the Adriatic, and to Perast. Board a small boat for Gospa od Škrpjela. Visit the Votive Church which is adorned with a magnificent collection of paintings. Return to the pier and coach. Guided tour in the old town of Kotor. Lunch during the visit. Check-in at your 4★ hotel in Budva area. Dinner and overnight.
Depart for a beautiful mountain road which will take you to the Skadar Lake, renowned for its beauty. Boat trip on the lake. Traditionally prepared fish breakfast. Continue to the capital of Montenegro. Guided tour of Podgorica. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Depart for Albania and its capital. Tirana is a relatively new city - founded by the Ottoman general Suleyman Pasha in the early 17th century. Lunch followed by a guided tour: the boulevard des martyrs de la Nation, the place Skanderbeg with the equestrian statue of the national hero, the international center of culture followed by entry to the National museum. Return to the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Depart for the panoramic road towards Njegusi, a village that has traditional architecture and is where the former royal family of Petrović-Njegos came from. Continue on to the ancient capital of the country, Cetinje. Visit the palace of the last king of the country, Nicolas I Petrović, who ruled until 1918. The rooms contain collections of objects belonging to the former sovereign. Continue towards the medieval centre of Budva which has become a well-known seaside resort on the coast. Stop at Sveti Stefan, built in the 15th century on a rocky islet, originally the refuge of those fleeing the Turkish invasions. The islet is connected to the coast by a sandy stretch. Dinner and overnight.
Depart for Croatia. Ferry ride from Lepetane to Kamenari. Continue on to Konavle valley. Gruda is a hilltop village where you will visit a «Mlin», a typical water mill, that is still working today. A tasting of local products: ham, cheese and wine. Lunch. Continue on towards Dubrovnik. Take a boat trip to Lokrum Island departing from the old port. The cruise follows the mainland coastline and offers a unique view of the city, including the Lovrijenac fortress, the city walls, hotels and private residences, including Villa Šeherezada, known as the Taj Mahal of Dubrovnik. Continuation along the Lokrum Island, only 600 m from the coast. If the weather does not allow the sea trip, it will be replaced by a visit to the medieval town of Ston, with a tasting of oysters and mussels in Mali Ston. Dinner and overnight at the hotel in the Dubrovnik area.
Transfer to Dubrovnik airport according to airline schedules. Assistance at check in and return flight.
