After breakfast meet our local city guide for a short walking tour of Geneva, the “world’s smallest metropolis”. See the old town, the heart of Geneva with the shopping and business quarter. Geneva is Switzerland’s most international city, as it is where the European seat of the UNO is based. Then visit Stettler Chocolaterie including a tour of the laboratories, explanation and presentation, Chocolate tasting and people will create their own truffles. This morning we will visit Prangins Castle set in a romantic park with the largest traditional kitchen garden in Switzerland. This national historic monument, standing on an elevated position above Lake Geneva is now a historical museum, presenting the history of Switzerland. Lunch at an gourmet restaurant. In the afternoon drive to Anières for a guided tour of a well known winery with wine tasting. Overnight in Geneva.

Enjoy a scenic ride along Lake Geneva to Freiburg. Nestled on a rock promontory, Freiburg is surrounded on three sides by the Saane River. It is one of the largest medieval towns in Üechtland. Afterwards we drive to picturesque Aigle for a lunch at a Gourmet restaurant. In the afternoon we visit the Château d’Aigle, a historic castle with medieval origins and strong roots in the local wine industry. Enjoy the wine museum and the tasting of local wines. Full day excursion to the UNESCO protected capital of Switzerland, Bern. Guided city walking tour showing highlights of Bern followed by time on your own. The old town of Bern is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and thanks to its 6 kilometres of arcades - the locals refer to them as “Lauben” – boasts one of the longest weather-sheltered shopping promenades in Europe. Drive to the little medieval town of Murten. Located on the south-east bank of the lake of the same name Murten has preserved its original appearance, with the picturesque alleyways of the old town and the pleasant shady arcades. Our local guide will show you the old town encircled by a wall. The walking tour will be followed by a cruise on the lake to Praz. Enjoy lunch with local specialties at fine restaurant. Afterwards wine tasting and walk in the vineyards. Overnight in Freiburg.

After breakfast coach ride to Lausanne. The setting of Lausanne is extremely picturesque. The town is built on three hills, surrounded by vineyard-covered slopes, with Lake Geneva at its feet. Experience the attractive old town which is largely car-free with our local guide. The old town is dominated by the cathedral which is regarded as Switzerland’s most impressive piece of early Gothic architecture. Rest of the day is at your leisure. Excursion to the Gruyeres. The peaceful scenery of the Gruyeres region, with the Lake of Gruyeres is home to the black and white Freiburg cows which provide the milk for the strongly flavoured Gruyeres cheese. In the middle of this picture postcard scenery, rises the medieval, traffic-free little town of Gruyeres, with its castle, surrounded by a fortified wall. After a visit of Gruyeres cheese factory stroll through the charming village and visit 13th century Gruyeres Castle. Later visit the Cailler chocolate factory, the Swiss chocolate brand with the longest history. Farewell dinner at Gourmet restaurant. Overnight in Lausanne.

Late morning departure to Vevey for a cooking class at the “Atelier Cuisine” located in the unique inner court of the old town. The group will be split in 2. The first one starts with the wine tasting, while the others learn the cooking part. Then we inverse them. And we all cook together. Each class begins with the making of a meal to which everyone contributes. This is followed by a communal celebration of the food, accompanied by a nice glass of wine. Overnight in Lausanne.
