           Day 6: Bonifacio and Ajaccio (B/-/D)
           Breakfast at the hotel. After check-out move to Santa Teresa di Gallura to take the
           ferry boat reaching Corsica. Guided visit of Bonifacio. Upon arrival free time in Boni-
           facio to have lunch. In the afternoon leave the city for Ajaccio. Dinner and overnight
           in Ajaccio.

           Day 8: Ajaccio – Porto – Ajaccio (B/-/D)
           Todays excursion takes us further up Corsica‘s west coast to Scandola Nature Reser-
           ve and the twisting inlets and outcrops of the Calanques de Piana. Here the elements
           have shaped and shifted the pink granite landscape into forms that seem almost
           alive. We will follow the road past Piana‘s pastel houses to Porto‘s harbour and pebble
           beach, and you will have time to explore. Optional: Cruise along the coast for the very
           best views. Dinner and overnight in Ajaccio.

           Day 9: Ajaccio – Corte – Calvi (B/-/-)
           After breakfast we drive north-east of Ajaccio in direction of Corte. Corte was once
           the capital of Corsica, during the reign of the much fabled Pasquale Paoli. We have
           included entrance to Corte’s historical museum and ramparts. From there you will
           have access to the picturesque old fortification standing high on a rocky outcrop.
           Driver further to delightful Calvi set on a crescent shaped bay. The pedestrian streets
           full of shops, boutiques and cafés run parallel to the marina and Quai Landry espla-
           nade which is lined with restaurants. At the end on the rocky promontory above is the
           medieval fortified citadel. Overnight in Calvi.
