           Day 5: Fatima – Casal de S. Simao – Porto (B/-/D)
           The Bread Route re-discovering traditions in Casal de S. Simão, where we have crea-
           ted an opportunity for visitors, to participate in the art of traditional bread making,
           starting with milling the cereal to the baking of the bread in clay ovens. This would
           appeal to travellers that search for traditional and genuine cultural experiences and to
           visitors wanting new experiences. For many centuries the local people harnessed the
           natural energy from the river Alge to work the watermills which in turn ground the ce-
           reals to make flour. Our journey starts in Casal de S. Simão and as we meander along   PACKAGE PRICE PP

           of the Alge River Valley. At the mill you can observe the traditional process of grinding
           the cereal on the millstone. In the afternoon it is your chance to imagine yourself back   1,195 €

           Day 6: Porto (B/-/D)
           Porto is the country’s second-largest city, dramatically situated at the mouth of the
           Rio Douro, rich in medieval relics, soaring bell towers, extravagant baroque churches
           and stately beaux-arts buildings piled on top of one another. Our morning city tour will
           include São Francisco church, the Stock Exchange Palace and a stroll through the
           historic Ribeira quarter, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Dinner and overnight in Porto.

           Day 7: Guimaraes Wine Region / Porto (B/-/D)
           We visit Braga to see the oldest cathedral in the country and Guimaraes to discover
           the old town and enjoy views of the impressive castle. We then visit the vineyards of
           Aveleda, famous for the “Vinho Verde” (green wine) of the region. We see the produc-
           tion and bottling process, followed by a wine tasting. Dinner and overnight in Porto.
           Day 8: Porto – Aveiro – Coimbra – Lisbon (B/L/D)
           This morning we depart for picturesque Aveiro, nicknamed the “Portuguese Venice”,
           with its colourful gondola-shaped boats, natural lagoons, elegant 19  century architec-
